COVID-19 information

COMPETITION SITE

Current Uusimaa region restrictions require us to have some special arrangements at the competition area. When organizing an event for over 50 people we need to have a possibility for people to always keep safety distances and keep hand sanitizer and masks available.

We take the health of our participants seriously. This means that we will provide free masks and hand sanitizer stands at the event.

RESTRICTIONS IN FINLAND

Each region in Finland has its own level of restrictions depending on the severity of COVID-19 in said region. The event is held in region called Uusimaa, the boundary lines of which are shown in blue in figure 1 below.

All of the up-to-date restrictions in Uusimaa can be found from Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa’s (HUS) website:

ENTRY TO FINLAND

Up to date regulations for Finland’s border traffic can be found from Finnish Border Guard’s website:

https://raja.fi/en/guidelines-for-border-traffic-during-pandemic

In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, travelers entering the country may be subject to some of the following measures:

  • coronavirus testing,
  • self-quarantine,
  • official quarantine.

The need for these measures is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Currently coronavirus testing and self-quarantine are not necessary if you are travelling to Finland from a country with a low incidence of coronavirus. You can find up to date list of these countries from Finnish institute for health and welfare’s (THL) website:

Instructions on coronavirus testing and self-quarantine are based on a risk assessment that considers the following factors:

  • the coronavirus situation in your country of origin,
  • the purpose and length of your stay
  • any potential symptoms.

FINENTRY is a service that aims to make it easier to travel to Finland during the coronavirus pandemic. The service assesses travellers’ risk of spreading the coronavirus and provides travellers with information and instructions on coronavirus testing and self-quarantine.

Coronavirus tests booked through the booking system on FINENTRY service are free of charge. Appointments booked by phone may be charged.

LEAVING FINLAND
